This view is just spectacular: snowcapped mountains and the most turquoise lake I’ve ever seen. Please take me back to this place, I’ll happily sit here for hours! I don’t think I’ll get over how turquoise the water was! It was a fantastic way to spend my last day of being 23!
My day trip to Laguna Parón was my first excursion in Huaraz and I loved it. The nature and surroundings are incredible – Peru really does have some of the best scenery and hiking!
Laguna Parón was a really good first excursion for me as it makes a good acclimatisation hike. It’s at 4200m and the hike to the viewpoint is only half an hour. I could get used to the altitude and still visit such a stunning place.
