On my first day in Bariloche, I rented a bike and cycled the 25km Circuito Chico loop. It was a very scenic route, very Bariloche if I can use that as an adjective! I don’t look as tired as I felt in the photo!
I really enjoyed being able to stop wherever we fancied with our bikes. One of our slight detours was to hike up to Cerro Llao Llao – the views were great! There were plenty of uphills and downhills and heck were my legs feeling it. At times I felt like I was cycling on the spot, getting off and pushing was quicker!
I remember really questioning my cycling speed when I was quickly overtaken by another lady on her bike. When I expressed my amazement, I discovered it was an electric bike which she was extremely glad for. Struggling up the hill, I could easily see why – she practically glided up the hill! The perks to electric bikes!
